London Broncos continued their formidable start to the season as they beat Halifax Panthers at The Shay in Round 6 of the Betfred Championship.
Workington Town then produced the biggest victory of the round posting over 50 points on Salford, with four-try scorer Jake Dickinson stealing the show.
Widnes Vikings survived a late scare to pick up their fifth consecutive league win. Allan Coleman’s men were pushed on the way by Hunslet in a high-scoring affair but hung on to maintain their place in the top two of the Championship table.
Nathan Connell and Max Roberts completed doubles for the Vikings.
Elsewhere, a late try-scoring surge gave Doncaster victory against Goole.
First half tries from Tyla Hepi, Tom Holmes and Cory Aston put Richard Horne's side up at the interval and gave the hosts a platform.
Aston added another two tries in the second half to complete a first hat-trick in Dons colours, and a further effort from Edene Gebbie secured the two points on home soil.
Newcastle Thunder banked the win against Swinton Lions on the road – inspired by a Cody Hunter hat-trick. As a result, Thunder keep up their 100% away record in the 2026 competition.
Sheffield are four wins from four after another strong showing at Rochdale on Sunday. The Eagles ran in seven tries against their opponents, including a brace from Matty Marsh.
Alongside London, they are the only team to remain unbeaten.
Batley went back-to-back after beating North Wales Crusaders at Colwyn Bay. The Bulldogs racked up all their 30 points in the first half, with Derrell Olpherts continuing his try scoring form.
Despite an attempted comeback by the hosts in the second stanza, the damage had already been done.
Meanwhile, Barrow bounced back from defeat in Round 5. Tee Ritson’s effort on the 65th minute gave the Raiders breathing space, before Shane Toal’s try one minute from time added the icing on the cake for this Cumbrian outfit against Dewsbury.
The entertainment was everywhere as Round 6 witnessed another draw – this time between Whitehaven and Midlands.
The ever-reliable Sully Medforth kicked a crucial penalty goal to level the scores with ten minutes to go; in turn setting up a nail-biting finish.
Drama unfolded as Medforth had another attempt at goal for the Hurricanes on the hooter but failed to convert this from the half-way line, meaning the teams took home a league point each.
